Review

Why did the people who made this list feel it was necessary to include a shameless rip-off of The Coral in the list? Might as well have put another Coral album up. Now the Coral are great and were particularly good in their début album, as such this is quite competent copying as this is pretty good as well.

That being said there is little originality here, there might be a bit more of Roxy Music inspired sax in the songs but the voice, arrangements and lyrics all remind me too much of The Coral not to be constantly aware of it.

So calling this album derivative is actually a bit of an understatement, this does not mean however that it doesn't have some great songs, it does, but they are derivative nonetheless, so even if my respect for The Zutons as artists is null I can at least enjoy the music. So it wasn't all lost.
