Yesterday we had already seen a certain tendency for retro in the work of The La's, here the same thing happens, but instead of going to Love or folk psychedelia the Black Crowes are going to blues rock of the Rolling Stones style.

Yes, it is a bit Stones derivative, but it has a 90s flavour which makes it not that bad, but there is really not much new here. It's rock in the tradition of many other things that came before and after them, and they don't particularly shine through.

So, yeah, unremarkable but inoffensive, I don't particularly understand why it belongs in this list, but it shows the 90s move away from the fabricated pop of the 80s into a more organic sound, and that would have heavy repercussions down to today.
